How to help.

Last weeks flood was like nothing I’ve ever seen in my backyard or on tv as the news crews flew over my town and the places I love so much ~ and call home. It was both surreal and heartbreaking. You just never imagine the National Guard rolling through town in their big trucks and massive military planes flying overhead.

If you are a local Nashvillian, I am almost certain you know someone who has been effected by the flood. If not, I think we all know someone who knows someone. Regardless, we all need to help. Maybe you can’t do the heavy work right now, but you can babysit so others can or bring a meal to a family. There are so many ways to jump in and no shortage of people who need us.

If Nashville is not your home, you can still help! If you are able, you can donate to an organization that will steer the funds to where they are needed.

Wherever you are, please pray for our community!

The work will continue for a very long time. Below is a list of some organizations and other opportunities to help Nashville. It is by no means a comprehensive list, but simply things I am personally aware of. If you know of others, please feel free to add them in the comments!
